In March 2020, I started a photo series as part of the first lockdown in The Netherlands. There are moments when I stopped this series, so I’m not close to 365 photos yet. Today is an important day for this series because one year ago the first confirmed COVID-19 case was a fact. So, in a way, this news is related to the photo series I make. It’s all about February 27, 2021.

Who would have thought in 2019, that there would be a period in time where the world was under the influence of a disease named COVID-19? I didn’t think it would happen this year.
The following crisis proved that people are vulnerable. There is much to write about this crisis. That’s why I decided to start this category. Let’s hope that this category will be obsolete in the future.
Almost a year ago the global crisis as we got to know as the corona crisis or the COVID-19 crisis started. There is no reason for a celebration because many countries are still fighting this virus. Severe measures were taken to stop this virus. These measures can bring out the worst in people and countries. It seems that only the strongest ones will survive.
On 15 March the Dutch government issued the closing of all Dutch schools. Parents were already asked to work from home, but now became teachers. We had to adjust to this new situation. After seven days, it resulted in a photo series: Life in Quarantine.Read More »Life in Quarantine
It’s somewhat dangerous in a way to write about something that is still going on. Facts and figures change constantly. However, this is what I’m about to do. I want to point the importance of what we should learn from all of this. Yes, this does regard the corona crisis.
